The idea was to develop a method for heuristic resource planning in software development. The corresponding application was developed within a consultancy assignment, where it was used successfully as »mechanical turk«. The application and method combine a simple form of machine learning and organizational learning. They improve the precision and reliability of effort forecasts. Competition: The software systems »Tenrox« and »Saviom Resource Planner« comprise related functionality. They are used for resource planning in large enterprises. Course: Robert Schulze was responsible for ALI application development. The project took from July 2010 until February 2011.
Automation
I have occasionally pursued ideas for work organization with small distributed systems. »Small«: Other than very large ones, like the Internet. Or large ones, like private messaging systems for corporations. Their methodical commonality are generative techniques or meta-programming.
